It may be because one of the fields have been left blank in the recommendations. Please use the support desk to attach your model and we will investigate why this has happened.

You may not have problems using v4.2.0.057 for England and Wales but that depends on the exact checks performed by LandMark (It has not been formally approved by DCLG). There will be relatively few changes to the software as this update is based on the current E&W release v4.2.0.054. Note that: ...

Tom Unfortunately there are no activities with this setpoint in the NCM. There are activities with setpoints of 0, 5, 12, 15 etc but I doubt that any of these activities would be suitable. I presume this area needs to be heated. Note there are some warehouse activities which are 24/7 and some not. H...

This seems to be dependent on how sbem classifies the air distribution based on HVAC definition, local and extract ventilation. It is not part of the input to sbem and so DesignBuilder has no control on this. I can't see how SBEM can differentiate between some of these for example D and E as there i...

Doug We are still expecting to have this ready by the end of the year. This project has received more development time this year than any other: It is a big priority for us. Sorry for the delay in replying. Please check our approvals page for any updates: http://www.designbuilder.co.uk/content/view/...

We are looking to implement the deltaU functionality (in SBEM and Level 5 interfaces) required to model wall ties to meet BR443. I suggest for now you do this manually using the calculation in 4.9.2 of BR443, adding the deltaU to the unbridged (by wall ties) U value and entering the construction usi...

Both materials in Layer 2 and 3 note that the thickness is not used in thermal calcs. This would imply that they have been defined as a resistance rather than with material properties: thermal conductivity, shc, density. DesignBuilder does not permit bridging in layers defined this way. Regards Andrew

Hi The ECo Therm is a material you have added to the database. Did you assign it to the 'Insulating materials' category. I'm not sure what checks DesignBuilder makes to decide if the material can or cannot be bridged but you should be successful if you place it in this category. If you are still hav...

The measurements you use in DesignBuilder SBEM correlate with the SBEM conventions. In v4.0 and later the default geometry template is 'internal dimensions'. This means that you draw the building / blocks based on overall internal dimensions. Internal measurements are made from the inside surface of...

Roofs with pitches above 70deg are treated as walls following the rule specified in the isbem user guide. What pitch is your roof?
