Component in series from a demand sub-loop to another supply sub-loop

I'm trying to model a water-to-water heat pump, with the source side that is the return from another hot water loop. There is a way to do this in design builder? I thought fluid-to-fluid heat exchanger could be the solution, but you can place it only in the supply sub loop of first hw loop, just bef...

Is it now possible (v5.5)? I troed, but even with the use of a fluid-to-fluid heat exchanger it seems not possible... (it can be placed in series only in a supply sub-loop, so it cannot be used as "generator" in a different zone group). Please advice.

I agree with ondrejg, "ambient bounces" does not really mean BOUNCES since setting it to 0 it couses no daylight with skies without direct sunlight (beam). There is a way to show only the arriving sky radiation (so only sky component and actually no bounces fron outside/inside obstruction ...

EnergyPlus can do this, but you have to leave DB. You can work directly on IDF file by adding SolarCollector:UnglazedTranspired objects and connecting them to the rest of HVAC system as required

1) a) good question, I asked me the same thing. I've not yet found a clear answer, but I think probably the radiant temp shown on a slice is simply the cells face temps as resulting form CFD solutions, so not based on view-factors considerations, that is as we usually intened. But thinking about CFD...
