Re: Illuminance data source

Hi Alessandro! You are right, the Daylight simulations in v4.7 are not capable to represent any geographic location. It uses very generic CIE Sky models: http://sustainabilityworkshop.autodesk.com/sites/default/files/styles/large/public/core-page-inserted-images/cloudy_daylighting.jpg sDA and some o...

Re: Negative Process Gains - How to model?

What if you create an AHU wich provides the named cooling rate by air cooling?
After the simulation you may subtract this AHU's consumption from the total annual energy consumption...

Re: How to model storage racks in Warehouse

hello! Yes it's possible! Just draw holes to the upper floors, where there is no rack system so the light can go through in these "aisles". (kind of sun pipe) I tried it a year ago, it was working properly for daylight simulation. Probably, it gonna work with e+ energy modelling as well. B...

Re: Creating a concave roof geometry

Hi M!

Try to use boolean commands!
http://www.designbuilder.co.uk/helpv4.5 ... ht=boolean

It's easier to work with outline blocks then convert them to building blocks:

Include zone in thermal calc. button - cannot be modified

hi!

For some reason i can't switch off my zones and blocks from thermal calculations. In the previous saving of my project it was possible, but now it isn't.
Can anyone help me find the option to get back this feature?

thank you!

Before the conclusion, you should double check the "mechanical" side -> Is the mechanical equipments sizings are the same (boiler, chiller)

For both of the simulations, you should have the same HVAC sizes, to compere them correctly.

Where is your building located?

hi! -Are you simulating only 1 day? Is this on summer or winter? -Try runnig a simulation with doubled EPS width -> getting much lower U value (In the current experiment the position of insulating layer doesn't matter) If the results are worse (getting higher interior temperatures) check the followi...
