temperatures in different height

Postby xyliu925 » Fri Jul 15, 2011 1:10 pm

Hi

Does the DB allow user to define the temperture measure point? I mean at the same spot, I can get the different timeperature and velocity at different height in the conditoned space, in energy simulation not in CFD.

By default EnergyPlus uses a mixed air model and only the mixed air temperature is used in calculations and reported. However there is an option on the HVAC tab to define Air temperature distribution where the height of the thermostat is defined amongst other things.

The air temperature reported by DB is the mixed value though. Also the air temperature used in the Airflow network in calculated nat vent simulations is the mixed air temperature.

However, can I get that from EP directly?
