Daylight analysis in design builder

Postby sraavani » Fri Sep 06, 2013 6:59 am

Hie,
Can somebody tell me how to change the surface reflectivity of walls and floors for daylight analysis and also the scale of the map in daylighting? Thanks in advance!

Hi
I have problem with changing the surface reflectivity too. Did you find a solution?
Thanks!

Surface reflectivity is controlled by each material's visible absorptance (inverse of reflectance) on the inner most layer of a construction assembly. If exterior shades/ building surfaces are included in the study then you will need to look at the outer most construction layer material.

I thought the map was autogenerated using space geometry and the specified offset. I'm not sure you can edit the boundaries. If the grid points are what you are looking to alter, use the Min Grid Size & Max Grid Size to specify how exact the evaluation is.
