Changing COP doesn't change electricity consumption

Postby saddamateeg » Tue May 29, 2018 5:01 pm

I'm working on a model of a 3 story building and trying to match the simulated energy consumption with the actual consumption ( having the utility bills of 2016).
I'm using the simple HVAC option of a heat pump. However, when I change the value of the COP for either cooling or heating, it doesn't make any change to the electricity consumed!

Can anyone help me?

When using Detailed HVAC interface the HVAC performance data needs to be entered on each component directly. For example, you will need to navigate to the Boiler and/or Chiller component and enter the CoP accordingly.

The COP data field in HVAC tab is only used for Simple HVAC model option and for Heating and Cooling Design calculations.
