Hi!

two quick questions :D

1. Is it possible to use an Air to water heat pump in the last release?

2. Can I use a radiant ceiling (or floor) both for heating and cooling?

I hope yes!! :)

hello!

Yes, it is possible to use an Air to water heat pump - In Detailed HVAC mode click the "load HVAC template" button for this reason.
As far as i know, you can only use chilled ceiling and floor heating.

all the bests, Peter

Thanks Peter :D

I hope that in the future it will be possible to use a single radiant source both for heating and cooling

Greetings :)

Cristina

Hi Cristina and Peter,

Did you ever get around this problem? My team has run into a similar situation and we are struggling to figure out how to get around it.

Please let me know if you get the chance.

Best,
Steve

Hi Steve,

I'm afraid that single radiant source both for heating and cooling is not available yet.
However its on the development list for future versions of DesignBuilder.

This object can be modelled directly in EnergyPlus.

Luis

To have a better understanding of the inputs I would suggest you to read the documentation " Cooling Coil - Water To Air Heat Pump"
https://www.designbuilder.co.uk/helpv5. ... oAirHP.htm

and Zone Water To Air Heat Pump" > "Supply Air Flow Rate" section.
