Chilled ceiling information

Postby dylan.debbi » Wed Jan 02, 2019 2:19 pm

Hello,

In the 5th version of Design Builder, it is possible to enter a heat flux in W of the chilled ceiling. Could you please tell me what represents this heat flux ?
- In which temperature condition has to be given ?
- Is it a good way to modelise a chilled ceiling like this when the manufacturer provides us its power ?

Thank you

Hi,

There are 3 ways to define the cooling capacity of the chilled ceiling.

1-Design capacity (W)
2-Capacity per floor area (W/m2)
3-Fraction of autosized capacity

For more information about this component see the Program Help link below:

Hi,
Thank you for your answer.
I am only wondering in which internal conditions this capacity has to be given. Ex. The more it is hot inside a room, the more the ceiling is delivering cooling (at constant flow and arrival temperature). The help does not cover this subject.

Thank you
