I only found one person asking the same question, and it didn't receive any answer.
My question is, if I set a fixed infiltration rate under airtightness @50 Pa (m3/h-m2), why do I also have to set a crack template? And what does this crack template do to the rate that I set?
The building I'm simulating has very-very poor airtightness - it is from the 50's, industrialized construction system, lightweight, and non-insulated. I know the infiltration rate @50 Pa is 29 m3/h-m2. But when I set this rate, and subsequently run a winter-design-week. Excellent crack template results in 1653 kWh for heating, and very poor crack template results in 4033 kWh for heating.
A 240% difference. So I really really really need to know how these are related and which I should use.
