I wish my roof to be a ceiling; an internal floor

Postby JohnSmithers » Wed Mar 25, 2015 8:30 pm

I am modelling a building set within a structure of a block of flats.

I am unsure how to set my ceiling to another "floor" instead of "roof".

How do I do this?

The easiest way is to place an adiabatic component block on top of the building (assuming the space above is conditioned). You can also add a building block and exclude it from the calculation: If some of the spaces above are to be modelled as unheated then you can divide that block up into heated and unheated spaces and set the hvac status accordingly to ensure the adjacency to be set correctly.

ok so youre saying fix it from the main floor. the problem is, the ceiling is a popcorn ceiling so once it gets patched up and the popcorn reapplied, will it look the same or will you be able to tell it was patched?
