Select the File > Export > Export HVAC Loads Report menu option to export combined heating and cooling loads summary data for each zone in an industry-standard PDF report format.
First you must make some settings on the HVAC Loads Options dialog to define the data to be displayed:
Note: Before selecting the Export HVAC Loads Report menu option, you should make sure that you have heating and cooling design results already calculated. If this is not the case, you will receive an error message when pressing the OK button on the options dialog.
This defaults to the building name.
Enter an appropriate name to describe this design alternative.
If Heating design results are to be included in the HVAC Loads Report, tick this checkbox.
If Cooling design results are to be included in the HVAC Loads Report, tick this checkbox.
You can sum cooling design total loads in 2 different ways
Summary cooling design results can be displayed either for the time and month of the overall maximum building cooling load or for the individual zone.
When the Peak method is set to 2-Coincident you can specify whether the coincident time for cooling design results is calculated for the building as a whole, i.e. for all zones, or whether it is calculated separately for each system. Select from:
1-Building, where the time of peak cooling for zones is calculated by summing hourly totals for all zones in the building, or,
2-System, where the time of peak cooling for zones is defined considering all zones in each system.
Enter your assessor name for the record.
Enter the name of your company.
After pressing the OK button on the HVAC Loads Options dialog you will be asked to provide a filename to save the PDF report.
After saving the report you are asked if you would like to open the report.
If you agree, DesignBuilder will open the PDF report in whatever software is associated with the PDF file extension on your machine.
The report consists of an introduction summary with details of the location and calculation and display options, followed by a series of results pages, one for each zone and system or building, depending on the options you selected.
