RICS

RICS accredited scheme members can lodge commercial EPCs using DesignBuilder. Members should log on at www.ricsregister.com using their normal Lifespan user name and password and follow the instruction on screen. RICS is pleased to be able to provide its members more choice when lodging Commercial EPC's, and lower costs in the current market. The cost of lodgement via www.ricsregister.com of an EPC produced using DesignBuilder is £23.11, excluding VAT. DesignBuilder does not charge a lodgement fee, however, users require a DesignBuilder SBEM licence costing £450 annually (10% discount for early renewal) excluding VAT in order to use the software.

Together with the productivity gains offered by DesignBuilder, this represents an excellent opportunity for RICS members to reduce their costs while improving their competiveness in the EPC market. RICS accepts the DesignBuilder SBEM training course as evidence of competence to produce EPCs using DesignBuilder SBEM and does not require members to sit the DesignBuilder exam.
